Man, 25, has colony of bees settle on his backside while on his way to a garage

Looking down, Velelhu found a swarm of bees had gathered on his backside after their Queen landed there.

He had been driving through Nagaland, north-east India, when the insects congregated on his nether regions.

Unusual footage, taken on August 20, shows the busy insects hanging off the back of his jeans in a swarm.

They are claimed to have been following their Queen when they landed. They removed her and put her in a jar to get the other bees to fly away

He bends forward to try to shift them, but they don't budge.

His passenger, who recorded the video, said: 'We were on the way to a garage when their Queen came flying to me to eventually rest on Velelhu's backside.

'Soon, scores of them joined her. After struggling a while he managed to grab the Queen and tore her wings a bit.

'He put her in a container and the rest of them soon flew into it.'

After removing the unwelcome residents, Velelhu locked himself in a car in case they came back. The passenger mused afterwards: 'We were amused and lucky to capture the rare natural phenomenon'.
