The Police Command in Cross River, has actually arrested a 48-year-old believed rapist for defiling his nine-year-old step daughter.

The Commissioner of Authorities in the state, Mr Uche Anozia, made the disclosure while consulting with the News Company of Nigeria (NAN), in Calabar on Wednesday.
Anozie stated the event took place at Ekong Fishing Port, Bakassi City Government Area of Cross River, on April 15.

He stated preliminary examinations exposed that the suspect, name withheld, armed himself with a machete, covered the victim’ s mouth with a piece of fabric, and powerfully had illegal carnal understanding of her.

After the ugly event, the suspect threatened the victim and cautioned her not to tell her mother.
Examination however, is still in development, and the suspect will be charged to court accordingly.
